How are we
organised?
The Charity Trustees are mainly elected as representatives
by their Churches of Free Church organisations. They are
responsible for the management of the home.
To ensure that the day to day running of the home can
function smoothly, an Executive Board is appointed from
within the Governors. It is chaired by Mr Kenneth Holmes
RIBA, and the Vice Chairman is Mr Peter Amery JP. Other
members of the Executive are Mrs A Bruffell, Mrs J Smee, Mr
D Mills, Mr E J Curtis FCIB (Acting Hon. Treasurer and
Charity Secretary), and Care Manager, Mrs Jeanette Lindon.
Our Care Manager is responsible for the day to day
management of the home. During the day there is a Supervisor
and three Care Assistants on duty.
We are committed to NVQ training and all members of staff
are encouraged to undertake NVQ training up to Level 4. Our
Manager is a registered NVQ Assessor.
Our Activities Organiser arranges a varied programme to
cover individual requirements and group participation
events. Entertainment is also provided by local volunteer
groups, Churches and professional artists.
Optional devotions are led by our Chaplain and a team of
volunteers and services normally take place on Sundays and
Wednesdays.
In addition we have volunteers and Friends who commit so
much of their personal time and energies to ensure the home
provides a comfortable and efficient environment for the
family of residents.
